Following my attendance at the AT Education Conference I came away with some fresh ideas of how to incorporate technology into school life. This included a range of new Apps that I have been experimenting with, some of which I introduced to members of staff at a recent Learning Group meeting. These include:
Thinglink
Thinglink is described as a 'leading platform' for creating images and videos for education. It enables you, or your students, to be creative! You simply choose an image as a background (like the badminton court above) and add links to any and every site imaginable within this image. You can then embed Thinglink and share the image with students.
All of the icons on the image above are 'hot spots', which you simply touch, linking to a host of multimedia opportunities such as video, audio recording or a relevant website.
I have embedded an interactive Thinglink graphic into itslearning (see below) so that my GCSE PE students have access from home - enabling them to recap on a topic, in this case Diet within Sport.

Feedback from the Learning Group was created using another very simple App - PADLET (image below). This is a virtual wall that allows pupils to express their thought on a class topic easily. It works like an online sheet of paper where students can put any content, such as images, videos, documents, anywhere on the page, together with the rest of the class, from any device.
